One common hormonal problem in women is known as estrogen dominance. Estrogen dominance is characterized by elevated estrogen and low progesterone levels. The ingredients in Saw Palmetto Plus for Women work together to reduce symptoms associated with hormone imbalance.
Saw Palmetto can be used in women with estrogen dominance due to its action on the inhibition of an enzyme called 5 alpha-reductase, which in turn lessons the action of testosterone, inactivates estrogen receptors and prevents the destruction of progesterone. This dual action on estrogen and progesterone makes Saw Palmetto an excellent choice for estrogen dominance.
